Description
Mirror Lacquered wood. Rectangular in shape and decorated with a beaded frieze and a frieze of water leaves, it is surmounted by a cassolette with drooping handles and a fretel featuring a pomegranate, resting on a base. A composite piece in the early Louis XVI style. Height 82, Width 44.5 cm. Provenance: descendants of Jaques Guérin (1880–1962), chief curator of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Musée Nissim de Camondo, Paris.
