Octagonal in shape, it features a blue design on a white background. Set against a background of tortoiseshell-patterned motifs, one side is adorned with a cartouche depicting a landscape, whilst the other features a cartouche with figures. Two twisted handles decorated with a candle-burned pattern.

Provenance: the collection of Jaques Guérin (1880–1962), chief curator of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Musée Nissim de Camondo, Paris. His descendants.
