France, late 18th century Crucifix painting depicting Christ Ivory. Head crowned with a crown of thorns, gaze raised towards the heavens, face bearing an expression of impending death, short beard and medium-length wavy hair; arms spread in a V-shape with visible veins; short perizonium held in place by a double cord tied at the right hip; legs slightly bent and feet superimposed. Gilded wooden frame. Height of Christ: 26 cm. Total height: 63 cm. Gross weight: 3.632 kg. Minor losses and damage. CITES – Object made of ivory from Elephantidae spp. In accordance with the provisions of the regulations in force within the European Union (Regulation (EU) No 2021/2280 of 16 December 2021), the item will be handed over to the purchaser together with its Intra-Community Certificate No. FR2503500099-K dated 29 July 2025. In the event of the item being taken out of the European Union, a re-export certificate, at the purchaser’s expense, will be required. The purchaser must also check in advance the legislation in force in the country of destination.
