A different composition on the same subject was painted by Jacques de Lange on two occasions: a large canvas was sold at the Dorotheum in Vienna on 12 December 2011, lot 100, originally attributed to the circle of Matthias Stommer but since catalogued as ‘attributed to the monogramist JAD’, i.e. Jacques de l’Ange, and a small copperplate sold in Paris at Kâ-Mondo on 9 June 2019, lot 20.
