Auguste Jean, born on 19 January 1829 in Paris and died on 3 November 1896 in Vierzon, was a French ceramist and glassmaker. He was one of the key figures in the revival of French earthenware in the mid-19th century, alongside Joseph Devers, Charles-Jean Avisseau, Georges Pull, Eugène Rousseau and Théodore Deck. He was a pioneer of the Art Nouveau style.
