Aimé Jules DALOU (Paris 1838 – Paris 1902) “Terrassier” Model created between 1889 and 1898 Bronze sculpture with a nuanced brown patina. Cast from an early edition by the Susse foundry. Signed “Dalou” on the rear plinth and bearing the foundry’s circular stamp on the base. H: 20 cm A “Terrassier” (“Digger”) bronze sculpture with a brown patina, from a Susse edition cast of the design created by Aimé Jules Dalou around 1889–1898. Signed “Dalou” on the plinth and bearing the caster’s stamp on the terrace.
