A significant Polymnia clock in yellow Siena marble. The base is raised on a rectangular plinth decorated with a frieze of inverted palmettes and a frieze of sunbursts in gilded bronze. The pedestal is surmounted by a large bronze figure depicting Polymnia resting on a clock case with a brass dial adorned with Roman numerals and encircled by laurel leaves.
