Two ôban tate-e woodblock prints, one entitled ‘The Kiyomizurô Restaurant: the actor Ichikawa Danjūrō VII in the role of Kiyomizu Seigen’, from the series ‘Famous Restaurants of the Eastern Capital ’ (‘Tôto kômei kaiseki zukushi’), signed ‘Toyokuni ga’ to the right of the portrait and ‘Hiroshige’ in the landscape cartouche, 1852; the other, ‘Shinagawa, view of the post station from Goten-yama ’ (Shinagawa, Goten-yama yori ekijû o miru) from the series ‘Famous Views of the Fifty-Three Stages ’ (“Gojûsan tsugi meisho zue”), known as the Vertical Tôkaidô, signed “Hiroshige hitsu” in the bottom left-hand corner. Sun-faded, worn and framed.
