Carpet probably Kirman, cotton warp and weft, wool pile, southeast Persia, circa 1940-1970.
The carpet is decorated with a central polychrome rosette on a navy blue background enhanced by an elegant stylised floral design. The whole composition is embellished with four wine-red spandrels, and a wide border with garlands of flowers is framed by four counter-borders.
