Tebriz carpet (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), North-West Persia.
Circa 1930–1970.

Length: 264 cm; Width: 214 cm.
This carpet is adorned with a large, multi-lobed central medallion in navy blue and ivory, extended by two pendants on a tobacco-coloured ground enhanced by an elegant, stylised polychrome floral design. The entire composition is embellished with tobacco-coloured spandrels. A wide tobacco-coloured border featuring garlands of polychrome flowers is framed by four counter-borders.
