Bidjar carpet (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), North-West Persia, Kurdistan region, circa 1890–1920.
Length: 91 cm; Width: 70 cm.
The carpet is adorned with a navy blue multi-lobed medallion, flanked by two pendants on an ivory ground enhanced by an elegant, stylised polychrome floral design. A navy blue main border featuring a design of roses and flowering scrolls is framed by two counter-borders.
