Siegward Sprotte (1913 Potsdam - 2004 Kampen/Sylt) Dünenlandschaft Reduzierte, sich der Abstraktion nähernde Arbeit Sprottes in leuchtendem Kolorit. Sprotte studierte bis 1938 an der Berliner Kunstakademie u. a. bei Emil Orlik, Kurt Wehlte und Maximilian Klewer, zu dem verband ihn eine enge Freundschaft mit Karl Hagemeister. Nach realistischen Anfängen fand er nach dem Krieg zu starker Expressivität und Farbigkeit. 1945 wurde er auf Sylt ansässig, wo er insbesondere von der nordfriesischen Landschaft inspirierte Strand- und Wellenmotive malte.
