Jan Both (1618 Utrecht - 1652 ebenda) Umkreis Reiter in felsiger Landschaft In idealisierter, mediterraner Landschaft mit schroffen Felswänden, reitet ein Viehhirte, begleitet von Ziegen, Schafen und einem Esel, entlang eines in das Bild hineinführenden Weges. Stilistisch und motivisch ganz in der Tradition der holländischen Italianisanten gezeichnetes Blatt, in dem Reminiszenzen zum zeichnerischen Werk Jan Boths zu Tage treten. Rötel/Bütten, montiert auf Unterlegpapier. Dieses mehrfach handschriftl. bez.; Verso Sammlungsstempel (Lugt 786). Auf der Rahmenabdeckung mit neuzeitlicher Attribution an Jan Both. 15,5 cm x 22,8 cm. Circle of Jan Both (1618 - 1652). Red chalk on paper, mounted on paper, which shows various inscrptions and a backsided collection stamp (Lugt 786).
