Friedrich Kallmorgen (1856 Altona - 1924 Grötzingen/Karlsruhe) attr.; "Wohnschiff im Kanal (Holland)". Originaltitel Sommerlich gestimmte Impression aus Holland, die wohl im Zuge einer seiner zahlreichen Auslandsreisen entstand, die Kallmorgen zwischen 1890 und 1900 zusammen mit Hermann Baisch und Gustav Schönleber unternahm. Ausgebildet bei Eugen Dücker in Düsseldorf sowie bei Ernst Hildebrand und Hans Fredrik Gude in Karlsruhe, schloss sich Kallmorgen 1881 dem Kreis um Gustav Schönleber an und wandte sich dem Impressionismus zu, der für sein Oeuvre zeitlebens bestimmend blieb. Ab 1901 leitet er die Landschaftsklasse der Berliner Akademie in der Nachfolge von Eugen Bracht. Öl/Lwd., kaschiert auf Karton. Verso auf Etikett betitelt sowie mit Künstlerzuschreibung. 27 cm x 43,3 cm. Rahmen. Attributed to Friedrich Kallmorgen (1856-1924). Oil on canvas, laid down on cardboard. Inscribed with title and artist attribution on a label on the reverse.
