Venus von Milo Bronze, dunkelbraun patiniert. Im Detail fein ausgeführter, französischer Bronzeguss, Ende 19. Jh., nach der berühmten antiken Marmorskulptur im Louvre. Die 1820 entdeckte, Ende des 2. Jhs. v. Chr. entstandene Skulptur der Göttin Aphrodite ist neben der Laokoon-Gruppe und der Nike von Samothrake eines der zugleich bedeutendsten und bekanntesten Beispiele hellenistischer Kunst und beeindruckt bis heute durch ihre seltene Harmonie und Schönheit. H. 43 cm. Provenienz: Auflösung der Privatsammlung Horst Schach, Karlsruhe. A French dark brown patinated bronze of the "Venus de Milo". Late 19th century.
