South India, Coromandel Coast, perhaps Kalahasti, first half of 20th Century
of rectangular form, painted in polychrome with Shiva upon an arch of flames (prabha mandala) and standing upon a demon (apasmara), he holds the hourglass drum (damaru) and tongue of fire (agni)
189 x 115 mm.
