Private collection, Germany.
The Sat Sai of Bihari Lal, a late 17th Century poet at Amber and at the court of Shah Jahan, is in the tradition of religious texts exploring the romance of Radha and Krishna, containing couplets on love, devotion and moral lessons. The Mewar illustrated manuscript of this text, in seven hundred couplets, is dated 1719 in its colophon.
