A slightly different view of the tomb is one of a group of seven unidentified Muslim buildings in south India, Trichinopoly, circa 1850, in the Victoria and Albert Museum, 08109:1/(IS); see M. Archer, Company Paintings: Indian Paintings of the British Period, London 1992, p. 210, no. 218. It was also depicted by Francis Swain Ward (circa 1734-1805), one of several oil paintings of South Indian monuments, circa 1782 (Government Art Collection, no. 7073). Nathar Shah was a Sufi mystic of the 11th Century, originally from Anatolia.
