MONTBLANC “Writers Edition Sir Robert Louis Stevenson” Limited Edition Fountain Pen Fountain pen in precious resin with platinum fittings, nib size F, serial number 1637/10000. The black precious resin barrel is engraved with crosses, including a large ‘X’ reminiscent of a treasure map, whilst the cap features vertical lines evoking the planks of the schooner Hispaniola. The platinum-plated clip, shaped like a ship’s bolt, is superimposed on a compass rose engraved in the background. The top of the cap is crowned with the brand’s emblem, centred on a skull, the symbol of piracy. The cap band is engraved with the designer’s signature, the dates of his life (1850–1894) and the year 1866. The 18K gold (750°/00) nib is fully rhodium-plated, handcrafted and engraved with waves and the inscription ‘Tusitala’. Individual number MAHPWRL14. Weight: 58 g.
