MONTBLANC “Patron of Art Homage to Peggy Guggenheim” Limited Edition 4810 Fountain Pen
A prestigious piston-filled fountain pen in lacquer with platinum accents, serial number 2277/4810. The body and cap are in black lacquer, overlaid with a platinum-plated finish featuring a linear geometric pattern inspired by Art Deco. The cap band is adorned with lion’s heads in relief, whilst the barrel is finished in translucent red lacquer with spiral lines.
The nib is made of rhodium-plated 18K gold (750°/00), handcrafted and engraved with dog-paw motifs. Ink colour: red. Reference MB113928.
Launched in 2016 as part of the renowned Patron of Art collection, this edition pays tribute to one of the 20th century’s greatest collectors of modern art. The design draws its visual inspiration from the works in her personal collection and the architecture of her Venetian residence, the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, whilst the details of the barrel are reminiscent of the mooring posts for Venetian gondolas.
