JEAN GOARDÈRE Pewter Candleholder A candleholder made from 95% pure pewter, hand-shaped and hand-hammered, signed by Jean Goardère. Weight: 254 g. A French craftsman and copper smith, Jean Goardère was awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1955 for his work in pewter and copper using the hammering technique. His functional and decorative pieces, made entirely by hand, are now highly sought after by collectors of 20th-century French arts and crafts.
