Atelier PERY & Fils, 1940s Yellow and white gold 750‰ "Marin à l'accordéon" lapel clip brooch, his eyes and hands enhanced with 8/8-cut diamonds, a cabochon ruby outlining his nose and the red pompom on his beret stylised by a coral ball. Pink gold pins 750‰. Numbered "51731". French work, Diamond hallmark of the Atelier PERY & Fils. Dimensions: 4x3.5cm. P. Gross weight: 15 g. (Traces of glue, slight oxidation). Since the 1920s, Atelier PERY & Fils has been a key manufacturer for Van Cleef & Arpels, from the "Zip" model to the "Passe-partout", the "Pelouse" and the "Ludo". Clip-back brooches played an important role in his creations, with both animal and figurative subjects, the latter being rarer. The "Marin à l'accordéon" model was created in 1939 for Van Cleef & Arpels.
