Yellow gold 750‰ forçat link "Butterfly" necklace, the textured wings set with onyx plaques, the insect body centred with a brilliant-cut diamond. Spring clasp.
Diamond hallmark of the JANCA workshop.
Adjustable length: 36.5 or 44.5cm. Design size: 1.6x2.2cm.

Enclosed: Two cut lapis lazuli plaques for the butterfly's wings, slightly smaller in size than the onyx plaques.
Particularly active in the 1970s for Van Cleef & Arpels, Atelier JANCA also produced jewellery for Fred and Piaget. Its creations are distinguished by the use of decorative stones in a variety of colours, such as chrysoprase, tiger-eye quartz, coral, onyx and turquoise, and by its work on the textures of metals.
