Since the 1920s, the Atelier PERY & Fils has been a key manufacturer for Van Cleef & Arpels, from the "Zip" model to the "Passe-partout", the "Pelouse" and the "Ludo". Among his creations, the animal collections are particularly noteworthy, taking the form of numerous brooches with clip-on lapels (cats, dogs, rams, squirrels and birds). Created in 1962, the "Lion ébouriffé" is one of the emblematic models produced for Van Cleef & Arpels and "La Boutique", a demonstration of the humour imbued in these jewellery pieces for everyday wear.
