Round medal in 18-carat yellow gold (750) with a double-sided design in blue and green enamel:
- on the obverse: a pansy, the petals set with sapphires and small diamonds, an inscription "ung Roy . ung Dieu . une Foy . une Loy" (One King, one God, one Faith, one Law)
- on the reverse: two fleurs-de-lis, an inscription "Dieu en Aide" and the date 5 June 1897.
