At the centre of a blazing star formed by two quadrilaterals representing the spiritual realm and the incarnate earthly realm, the Virgin holds the Son, pointing to him with her hand as the Way, surrounded by the Tetramorph (symbols of the four Evangelists) and Angels. In good overall condition; the original varnish has been completely removed; there is some wear and minor retouching. 31 x 26 cm
