A set of 8 silver gelatin prints depicting the lives of young Jewish pioneers in Palestine, circa 1935. Six of them bear Walter Zadek’s stamp.
Dimensions: 18 x 13 cm (7); 19 x 19 cm (1).
Walter Zadek, born in Berlin in 1900, is one of Israel’s most famous photographers. As editor of the *Berliner Tageblatt*, he was imprisoned by the Nazis in 1933. After his release, he fled to Jerusalem, where he founded the Association of Professional Photographers of Palestine.
