A pair of Saint-Étienne-made percussion shooting pistols. Rifled, flanged barrels in tobacco-coloured Damascus steel, marked on the upper flanges ‘Pondevaux et Jussy à St Étienne’. Engraved front hammers and cocks. Triggers with finger rests. Walnut stocks, partly carved. BE (minor wear)
Presented in a later mahogany-veneered case, lined inside with blue velvet, with accessories, cleaning rods, powder flask, bullet mould, percussion cap box, screwdriver/barrel-cleaning tool and ramrod. ABE (signs of wear)
