In-8, publisher’s cardboard binding in fawn percaline, 170 pp. First edition. A fine volume presenting the game animals of the Sudan. With chapters written by Karamojo Bell and Major R. S. Audas. Illustrated with a frontispiece, 25 plates (11 of which are in colour by W. H. Riddell), black-and-white sketches and a folded map. Never published in French. Very good condition. Ex-libris E. C. Tabler. - MILLAIS (J. G.). Far away up the Nile. London, Longmans, Green and Co, 1924. Quarto, publisher’s red percaline cloth binding, 254 pp. First edition of this account of a hunting expedition to southern Sudan, amongst the Dinka and the Nuer. Illustrated with 50 plates of animals, drawn in black by the author or his son. Includes 2 black-and-white photographs of trophies and a map. Never published in French. Very good condition.
