Paris, Jouaust, 1883. 12mo, contemporary Bradel-style mastic half-percaline binding, covers, LXXXIV + 136 pp. This edition, the last early printing of this treatise first published in 1598, forms part of the charming collection of the Cabinet de vénerie, printed in a run of only 340 copies. D’Arcussia (1547–1619) was regarded by most French falconers of his time as the foremost among them, and Olivier de Serres recommended ‘the fine and excellent book by the Provençal gentleman’ to all lovers of falconry.
