DEYEUX (T.). *La chassomanie*, a poem. Paris, Comptoir des imprimeurs unis, 1844. 8vo, late 19th-century binding in brown half-shagreen with corner pieces, smooth spine, 334 pp. First edition of this treatise on hunting with firearms, written in verse. Illustrated with 16 two-tone lithographic plates by A. de Dreux, Beaume, Forest, Foussereau and Valerio. ‘Copies of this attractive volume, dated 1844 and complete with all 16 lithographs, are quite rare’ (Thiébaud). A fine copy, bound by Carayon, from the hunting libraries of A. Mercier (ex-libris), P. Mouchon (ex-libris) and K. Lindner (ex-libris and wet stamp). Slight scattered foxing. Spine slightly sun-faded. Provenance: The hunting library of the late Don Javier Lopez de Ceballos
