DU FOUILLOUX (J.). La vénerie… Angers, Lebossé, 1844. Quarto, late 19th-century binding in ivory vellum, plain spine, red edges, 16 pp., 8 + 125 + 5 ff. First modern edition of the most famous French treatise on hunting with hounds, published with a lengthy bio-bibliographical note, no doubt written by Baron Pichon, the great bibliophile and scholar. Illustrated with 57 woodcut plates re-engraved from the 1585 edition. A very fine copy. A few foxing spots. Provenance: The hunting library of the late Don Javier López de Ceballos
