The most comprehensive history of hunting art (painting, sculpture, tapestry, decorative arts), from prehistory to the present day, written by Henri de Linarès (1904–1987), an animal painter and curator of the Gien Hunting Museum. The chapter on hunting in England was written by E. W. Bovill and the chapter on hunting in North America by P. Coze. Preface by the Duke of Brissac.
Illustrated with numerous black-and-white and colour photographs.
