In-8, paperback, 240 pp. First edition of this fine work, printed on Holland paper; one of the finest and most important works on deer hunting. The Marquis de l’Aigle was the master of one of the most prestigious and oldest French hunting parties, that of Francport (Oise), which had been hunting since 1790 in the forests of Laigue, Compiègne and Ourscamp. Illustrated with 40 plates by the author, including 16 in colour and 24 in monochrome, and 71 illustrations within the text. Cover scuffed and stained. A few pages discoloured.
