L'AIGLE (Marquis de). Reflections of an Old Hunter on Deer Hunting. Paris, Manzi and Joyant, 1913. In-8, red half-shagreen with period corners, ribbed spine, 240 pp. First edition of this fine work, printed on Holland paper, one of the finest and most important works on deer hunting. The Marquis de l’Aigle was the master of one of the most prestigious and oldest French hunting parties, that of Francport (Oise), which had been hunting since 1790 in the forests of Laigue, Compiègne and Ourscamp.
