Low chair, known as a ‘corner chair’, in oak, twisted design; the backrest, flanked by freestanding columns, is surmounted by a coat of arms flanked by standing greyhounds; the base features an H-shaped crossbar. Louis XIII style, late 19th century. Upholstered in apricot velvet (one hole). – 98.5 x 44 x 45 cm.
Included is a chair in formerly blackened wood with a ‘barrette’ backrest and base. NAPOLEON III period. Signs of wear. Upholstered in sky-blue and yellow satin with ‘Chinese’-style decoration. – 85.5 x 44 x 40 cm.
