Cuirassier helmet 187274. Troop helmet model 1872 modified in 1874. Steel shell, brass band embossed with grenade attribute. Crest ending in a minerva head topped by its marmoset in red horsehair and supporting a mane in black horsehair. The rear is marked D143. Lobster-tail nape-cap with three rivets and covered in black leather, as is the visor. Original greased leather cap with seven wolf teeth, four eyelets damaged. Troop-style leather chinstrap in its original length covered with scales. Plumet missing. Cuirassier helmet 187274 Helmet for troop model 1872 modified in 1874. Steel shell with a brass band stamped with a grenade emblem. Crest ending in a Minerva head topped with a red horsehair tuft and supporting a black horsehair mane. Marking D143 on the back.
