Chinese-made gourd. Light khaki woven cotton strap, aluminium buckle. One ring missing. Khaki paint can bearing a red and yellow star. This canteen was brought back by medical officer Lieutenant Denepoux of the Korean Battalion and was taken from a wounded Chinese soldier on 5101952. Lieutenant Adrien Denepoux was a frequent visitor to the Advanced Aid Post and was awarded the Combat Medical Badge by the Americans. Chinese canteen.
