USM3 Hanoi dagger. A rare USM3 type dagger made locally in Indochina, this distinctive dagger was made by a private firm in Hanoi during the Indochina War. It is described in Christian Mery's book on page 107, couteaux et poignards baïonnettes dans l'armée française de 1940 à nos jours. The handle is made up of two wooden plates fixed with screws, and the American-style wrought-iron blade is the same length as it was originally, with no visible markings and a slight gap in the hilt.
