A pair of regulation 1833-model saddle pistols, second type.
Rear percussion locks from the Royal Armoury at Châtellerault and flat-bodied hammers. Octagonal Damascus barrels with hairline rifling, slightly pitted. Checkered walnut stocks, trigger guards with finger rests and cap plates with rings for the iron sling, unscrewable (tools missing). Complete with their matching cleaning rods.
Mechanism in working order; both notches are marked. France, Louis-Philippe period.
