British senior officer’s sword. Brass hilt decorated with rows of pearls and gilding. Urn-shaped pommel, flat crossguard and body knot from which two curved quillons extend. Guard with a central decoration of a closed crown, encircled by a floral wreath. Straight blade by J.B. JONSTONE in London and Dublin. Leather scabbard with two brass fittings. An officer’s sword knot with a tassel in gold trimmings is included. England, first half of the 19th century.
