Jacques-Philippe Boucault was a figure of French naval medicine in the mid-18ᵉ century. Attached to the Toulon department under the reign of Louis XV, he performed the duties of surgeon-major to the King's ships.
Active during the monarchy's major maritime campaigns, Boucault also took part in land-based military operations, notably during the Rossbach campaign.
He was ennobled by letters patent in 1753.
