This "studio listening cabinet" is the result of research work carried out at the end of the 50s by Joseph Léon, designer and director of Elipson from the end of the 40s, and his team. The aim of this work was to create a 'standard' loudspeaker for the sound engineers at R.T.F (Radiodiffusion Télévision Française). After three years of research, a 3-way loudspeaker called "VOIES" was created and a patent was registered in August 1962.
Extract from the patent application:"This sound reproducer, consisting of several loudspeakers each specialising in a given frequency band, is characterised in that each of its loudspeakers is itself formed by a membrane and a spherical enclosure, more or less deformed; and in that these loudspeakers are arranged directly one above the other, with the same longitudinal plane of symmetry, without attachment to a common panel, and slightly offset in depth from one another along the said common plane of symmetry, in order to obtain that the sounds emitted by two successive channels are in phase concordance."
Given the nature of the components making up the equipment, Etude L'Huillier cannot be held responsible for any malfunction occurring after the auction. An exhibition is also planned to check the condition of the items. Please also note that electronic equipment will be entrusted to the Hôtel Drouot warehouse after the sale and that storage charges will apply.
