Description
SÈVRES ‘Mignonnette’ cup and saucer in soft-paste porcelain, decorated with a lilac-ground frieze adorned with gold foliage, wreaths of roses in medallions separated by gold motifs on a blue ground, and garlands of foliage punctuated with red berries. Gold serrated borders around the rims. Marked: interlaced ‘LL’ and the letter-date ‘Q’ for 1769; painter: Louis-Jean Thévenet the Elder. Sunken marks. 18th century, 1769.
