In 1984, Chaumet’s artistic director, René Morin, conceived a collection of objects entitled “Les Nouveaux Regards”: these creations were crafted from twenty-seven fragments originating from various civilisations: Ancient Egypt, Greece, Persia, the Khmer Empire, Mexico and the Ashanti Kingdom.
René Morin gave them a new identity by setting them in gold and precious stones.
