PRÉVOST (Antoine François, Abbé) Amsterdam, Paris, Rue et Hôtel Serpente, 1783–1785. Selected Works. 39 vols. in-8, red morocco, with fine gilt motifs framing the covers, plain spine decorated with gilt motifs, gilt edges (contemporary binding). A fine edition featuring a portrait by Schmidt as a frontispiece, engraved on copper by Ficquet, and 78 separate copper-engraved plates by Marillier. Very slight tears to the headbands. Pinholes in the plates, one section dislodged, but otherwise the interior is in very fresh condition. Bibliography: Cohen, 825.
