Large quarto (28.7 x 23.2 cm), old red morocco, three gilt fillets framing the covers, gilt coat of arms in the centre, ribbed spine decorated with gilt motifs and pieces of armour, gilt edges on marbled paper (contemporary binding).
Frontispiece, title vignette, 21 headpieces and tailpieces after Boucher and Natoire, and several initials, engraved on copper.
A fine copy on large-format paper bearing the coat of arms of Blancheton de Rochefort.
A few foxing spots; some leaves browned.
