LARGE SILVER AND VERMEIL COIN-INLAYED MUG
By Daniel Danckmeyer in Mitau (Latvia, Baltic States) c. 1690
Resting on three ball-shaped feet decorated with warriors’ heads. The body and lid are set with coins; the lid is centred with a coin bearing the effigy of Elector Frederick III, dated 1692; the thumb rest is shaped like a pomegranate
