A pair of Louis XVI-style gilt-bronze and white marble two-light candelabra, fitted as lamps
The figures of women draped in the antique style that adorn the shafts of our pair of candelabra are replicas of a pair from the Louis XVI period held at the Musée Cognacq-Jay (inv. J 326).
A comparable pair of candelabra was once in the bedroom of Baroness Marie-Hélène de Rothschild at the Hôtel Lambert (cf. O. Beaufils, V. Mesqui, *Sèvres: A Rothschild Passion*, exhibition catalogue, Paris, Galerie de Gobelins, 17 April–26 July 2026, p. 105, fig. 20).
