The handles are moulded with foliage; the rim of the tray is decorated with a beaded frieze; the tray is embossed with lambrequins; the centre is engraved with a coat of arms bearing the baron’s tortil

The coat of arms is that of the German princely family of Löwenstein-Scharffeneck. Constance von Worms (1875–1914) married Maximilian von Löwenstein-Scharffeneck (1871–1952) in Munich in 1895. They separated in 1912. Constance von Worms was the granddaughter of Schönche Rothschild, wife of Benedikt Moses Worms, and sister of the five Rothschild brothers.
